About Caroline

Caroline Gilman is a middle grade writer and business owner who resides in San Diego, CA. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University, Caroline is currently preparing to query her middle-grade fantasy novel, an adaptation of her recent screenplay.  Caroline serves as Director of Middle-Grade Programming and Director of Communications for the San Diego Writers Festival and is the Vice President of the International Memoir Writers Association. She co-founded the @MiddlegradeHub  on Twitter to help promote community for writers. The Hub facilitates small writer groups, coordinates author chats, and promotes middle-grade publications. Caroline is also a freelance graphic designer for writers, specializing in custom social media graphics, bookmarks, newsletters, and occasionally book trailers.

  2. I played water polo in college
  3. My dog is my writing sidekick
  4. My favorite place to write is on the magic mailbox bench in Carmel
  5. I love cheering on my writing friends
